Addressing multiple needs through one integrated approach ๐๏ธ
Communities affected by disasters and coastal vulnerabilities often face interconnected challenges related to housing, livelihoods, healthcare, education and social welfare. Our Integrated Rehabilitation Project brings together five key areas of intervention.
Disaster Rehabilitation
Supporting families with housing reconstruction, repairs, livelihood restoration and disaster risk reduction.
Coastal Community Rehabilitation
Strengthening fishing communities through livelihood support, infrastructure, cooperatives and resilience.
Marriage Assistance Programme
Supporting economically deprived families with financial, material, documentation and counselling assistance.
Healthcare & WASH
Improving access to primary healthcare, maternal and child health support, sanitation and clean water.
Education & Skill Development
Supporting school continuity, scholarships, digital literacy, vocational training and employment.
Supporting communities facing multiple challenges ๐๏ธ
Cuddalore's coastal communities continue to face the effects of recurring natural disasters, poverty, livelihood loss, inadequate housing and limited access to basic services. Families affected by disasters may lose their homes, livelihoods and income sources. Children may face disruption to their education, while remote communities may have limited access to healthcare and sanitation.
Angappa Trust works to address these interconnected challenges through community participation and integrated rehabilitation interventions.
